NEW TRIKE 6 |
|
Well, here I thought I was just about done with it. I'll be riding down the road with my friend any day now. Hah!!!! Guess what folks? Transmission doesn't work as advertised. Oh well, I really wanted a manual anyway. Just a slight delay or two. Picked up a new clutch and pressure plate, got a transmission and a flywheel at our favorite shopping mall (the local parts yard) Had the flywheel machined, got it and the tranny installed. Got the engine back in. Have to do some remodeling now. Take off the old shifter, put in a new one. Old axles won't work, automatics are different than the manuals. Got them on order from California Imports. They offer a good deal here as you can get the axle with new CV joints, greased and ready to install for $109.00 ea. Also ordered a Super Shifter with a shift rod from Vic's Dune Buggy. Going to install a Jamar side shifter unit from Chirco also. Found out another thing when I checked the engine numbers. I was told it was a 1700cc engine but come to find out it is a 2000cc engine. |
