In 1998 there were not very many sites showing how people built their trikes. Nor could I  find any books showing you how to built one. Today there are a lot more. (see links page)  One thing I really like about trikes is that they are all different, unless you buy a factory made trike.   There are many, many, different ways to build them and from what I can see you can build them out of most any vehicle on four wheels.  This site isn't really about "how to build a trike"  It's here to help you build yours.  Within these pages you will find helpful information and links to aid you in your project.  Building a trike can be related to building a dune buggy.  Most of the parts used on dune buggys (VW's mostly) can be used on a trike.  For those of you building V8's you can go to the speed shops on the web.  If your going to build a VW based trike then you need the following books:  "How to build a dune buggy  by Earl Duty and "Baja bugs and buggies by Jeff Hibbard.   Both of these and more can be found here by clicking on the button below.
